The 2009 ABT Golf VI is a car that would impress anyone with unique styling, modern technology, strong performances and an aggressive personality that would make any customer like a race driver Abt braking and sports braking systems provide deceleration suited to the performance hikes.

The standard 122 hp 1.4-litre is expanded to 160 hp while customers wishing to stretch the 'little engine' out further have the option of a 200 hp version - producing almost as much power as the series 2.0 TFSI powerplant but consuming less fuel. But if 1400cc is a little too conservative, then Abt have it covered: the 2.0 TFSI gets upgraded from 210 hp to 240 hp, with a more frugal offering in the form of a 30 hp-hiked 2.0 TDI model with 170 hp.

With the ABT Q5, this worked perfectly: The Allgäu SUV is fast, beefy, sleek, extravagant, extremely versatile - and therefore evokes five wows.

ABT manage to stay on the better side of decent, in case of the Scirocco. The complete Upgrade Kit consists of the design pack, the 4-pipe rear muffler, the springs and complete wheel sets (19 inch AR alloys, diamond-machined and black, plus tyres and wheel spacers). The Scirocco has power upgrades, too -- bumping the wee 1.4 TSI to 200 horses, and the 2.0 TSI to 240.

The brake pads of the ABT Braking system are able to cope with any situation, and with a diameter of 345 always grip powerfully. As is normal at ABT, all the details fit perfectly together and thereby result in a fascinating top range car. You can see that it comes from the very top of the range and want to drive it straight off.

ABT Sportsline has achieved plenty of success with the AS5, which is based on Audi’s A5 - as the coupe has a dynamic and elegant design, is full of technical power and also quick. All this makes it a "real” ABT. Now the company from Kempten has brought out the jewel in this range - the AS5-R. This vehicle is an ab(t)solute super sports car, nothing more and nothing less. Thanks to ABT POWER R, i.e. the change to the engine management and the insertion of an ABT Compressor, the performance is increased by an impressive 156 HP (115kW) to a powerful 510 HP (375kW). The AS5-R reaches 100km/h in 4.5 seconds and continues on powerfully up to its maximum speed of 292km/h. In spite of this enormous increase in performance, consumption and thereby emissions still remain at the level of the series-produced vehicle. CO2 emissions per HP thereby fall from 0.81 to 0.56g/km.

ABT Sportline does a makeover of the Audi A5 Cabrio and calls its little reinvention the AS5. ABT POWER provides some tweaking of the electronic engine management system which is offered on four different power plants. The 2.0 TFSI gets a substantial kick upstairs to 275 hp instead of the standard-issue 180 or 211. The 2.7 TDI is taken from 190 hp to a livelier 230. The 3.0 liter TDI diesel also gets an up-tuning to 282 hp from the production version's 240.
Also available is the ABT POWER S package, which can do a little more to that 3.0 liter diesel engine to take it well past 300 horses to a power output of 310 hp and 610 Nm of dump-truck-like torque.
