Misano - Max Pigoli with BMW M3 racecar in pole position

Max Pigoli made his intentions clear at Misano as he cruised to the SUPERSTARS SERIES pole at the Adriatic venue on a Romeo Ferraris-prepared Mercedes C63 AMG. The Como-based racer turned the best lap of the day in 1:42.015, edging Reigning Champion Thomas Biagi by less than 0.1s. On the top BMW M3 racecar, fielded by Team BMW Italia, he clocked an 1:42.111 laptime despite the 60-kg compensation ballast assessed after the wins he scored at Portimao. Biagi led the CAAL Racing Mercedes C63 AMG of Luigi Ferrari, who'll be paired on the second row by Biagi's team-mate Stefano Gabellini. A local hero based close to the racetrak, Gabellini showed to be in great shape since practice. San Marino racer Christian Montanari also ended up into the top-5 with the clear goal of being a legitimate threat on Race Day. Driving a BMW M3 for RGA Sportmanship, he was followed by Alberto Cerqui (BMW M3 E92), Ivan Tramontozzi (BMW M3 E90), Francesco Sini (Jaguar XF SV8) and fellow team-mate Kristian Ghedina, who was back to SUPERSTARS racing after the bad luck suffered at Monza.

Riccardo Romagnoli rounded out the top-10 on the CAAL Racing Mercedes. Michela Cerruti, currently sitting at the top of the Italian SUPERSTARS Championship standings, ended up in 13th behind Alex De Giacomi (Movisport-BMW M3) and Romeo Ferraris team-mate Andrea Dromedari.

The Romeo Ferraris driver will share the front row with BMW Team Italia's Thomas Biagi, who managed to claim second notwithstanding 60kg of success ballast after two wins in Portimao.

The second row will be shared again between a Mercedes and a BMW. Luigi Ferrara took third ahead of Stefano Gabellini, who leads a train of four BMWs, which includes Christian Montanari, Alberto Cerqui and Ivan Tramontozzi.

Francesco Sini, Kristian Ghedina and Riccardo Romagnoli rounded up the top ten. Former championship leader and race winner Michela Cerruti only managed a thirteenth spot on the grid.

It has an impressive, dynamic and extremely expressive “face” corresponding to the future form language of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle design. The design Mercedes-Benz Unimog concept combines the past and future of the Unimog in an extremely avantgardist way. “We have taken the Unimog-DNA with its unique concept features to 100 percent into consideration when creating this design concept,” says Bertrand Janssen from the Daimler department for commercial vehicle design.

Furthermore, this design Mercedes-Benz Unimog concept gives the observer sufficient room for thought to interpret its technical innovations. To cut a long story short, it is literally an unsually idea to make one think about the Universal-Motor-Gerät (Unimog) of the future. The design Mercedes-Benz Unimog concept is based on the Unimog U 5000 chassis with its outstanding off-road capabilities. The traditional and well-known unique selling-point of the Mercedes-Benz Unimog, its coil springs, are painted red in the concept vehicle, whereas Bertrand Janssen and his team have let its hulk of a bonnet with its typical Mercedes-Benz line and the mudguards shine out in a fresh green. When selecting the colours used, the designers in Bertrand Janssen’s team were inspired by an unusual amphibian, the poison dart frog: Just like the Unimog it is also extremely mobile both in water and on land. Scion Re-Designs TC For 2011

The Toyota Motor Company created the Scion brand back in 2002 in an effort to reach younger buyers. Scion has been a success ever since and the relatively young brand’s top selling model is the Scion TC coupe. Scion has decided to re-design the TC for 2011 and the and the most major difference between the new model and the outgoing model is the flat roof-line.

When Scion released the TC they aimed at selling the car to mostly young affluent males, and they accomplished their goal at the start. Over the years though the Scion TC’s customer base has changed from mainly male to mainly female. The executives over at Scion see this as a problem and they made sure to address the issue with the new 2011 model. The most noticeable feature of the new Scion TC is the flat roof-line which gives the car a significantly more masculine look. The company is hoping that the new re-design will once again attract a majority of male buyers.

The problem I see with the goals of the new TC is that the company is trying to alienate the majority of female buyers in the hope of attracting more males, but their is no guarantee that young affluent males will want to flock back to the car in great numbers. I think the only guarantee with the new model is that young female buyers are definitely going to look elsewhere for a new car, and these lost customers will most likely go to Volkswagen who makes cars for young buyers in the same price range. It just doesn’t make any sense for a company to try and get rid of its current clientele. Instead of re-making the TC into a much more masculine car the company should have come out with a new model aimed at young male buyers.

The reasoning behind the move is due to the fact that GM higher ups like Ed Welburn are seeking to make the new Corvette more appealing to a younger audience who seems to be going after the imports.

According to JD Power and Associated the average age of a Corvette owner is around 54 years old and while that may not be old in the eyes of many, perhaps it is to Welburn and the other higher ups at GM. For that main reason alone it is rumored that more than ten designs have been submitted and are currently being seriously considered. If the past proves as any true measure, the higher ups at GM are probably considering a mixing of several of the ideas.

Here’s the problem with the theory; if GM doesn’t do anything to affect the price of the C7 Corvette it is likely that it won’t gain the younger audience it seeks. Because the Corvette has steadily climbed in price pretty much every year, the net result is that those who have not made it yet in life (the younger crowd) cannot afford to buy one. So the problem is not lack of desire, but rather a lack of funds.

Owning a Corvette these days has become a rite of passage whereby many hard working Americans save their money for many years in orders to one day be able to realize the dream that is Corvette ownership. Unfortunately, making the design more “European” will not persuade younger people to buy if they don’t have the money to do so.

However, what the move may prove to be successful with is a more accepted Corvette model for the people overseas. After all, it is no secret that GM has been undergoing some turbulent times as of late and one way to help them through the rough patch is to gain entry into places that have never really been all that accepting to them. When it comes down to it, what better vehicle does GM have to do this with than their flagship vehicle the Corvette?

While many will continue to ponder exactly what the new C7 Corvette will look like, hopefully it will not lose too much of its American flare. It is after all the Corvette and there is little that is more American than this all American icon. Besides, people save for much of their lives to buy the American dream, not a culmination of the European dream.

Water For Gas Hydrogen Generator Design Comes Under

Another Actor turned Activist has made claims that the DIY hydrogen generator that thousands of people all over the world are using to cut their gas bills by 25-55% does not work and is a scam…an activist with a political agenda.

I don’t understand why actors, who are basically paid to lie for a living, feel that they need to inform the public as to what is good for them and claim themselves to be experts in politics, the environment, and myriad other arenas they actually have no credible experience or knowledge speaking on.

I’m not going to mention this D-list actors name because I don’t want to get his name out there any more than it is, which certainly isn’t much, even Google had trouble finding him. But basically he bought a hydrogen generator construction guide and then posted a link to the book at his blog, called it a scam and then did a mass email giving it away for free.

He purported the guide to be a scam and that he was exposing the developer as a con- artist. Yes, the same actor who stole someone’s intellectual property to give away freely on the Internet. Sure sounds like piracy to me. I know that if someone bought a movie he was in that paid him a royalty per sale and then posted the movie on the Internet for anyone to watch, he’d be singing a different tune for sure.

He freely admits he knows little about this technology but feels qualified to say it is a scam and does not work.

I’m not one of those who blindly follows whatever a celebrity advices and certainly have not stopped believing that the hydrogen generator I built more than four months ago no longer works because he said so.

Besides stealing this book, this actor thought it was also okay to send out emails to anyone and everyone he wanted to, despite any type of Federal laws against spamming people.

I could go on about this guys checkered past but I feel dirty just talking about it. People are not idiots, they can make decisions for themselves on what is true and what is false.

I will believe the thousands of people all over the world who say this water for gas design works. I will also believe the documented proof from a scientist and noted researcher from Bell Laboratories that indeed you can build your own hydrogen generator and create a burnable fuel that will increase your gas mileage.

I will believe my own results as well. I urge you to do your research and not just listen to an actor with a chip on his shoulder because he can no longer find work and has nothing better to do.
